Even though embarking on their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Without key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further victory in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, especially after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.

Fringe Players Seize the Moment

This match provided a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in match.

A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
